Thank you
... I wanted something smaller than a full size laptop for tuning the car. This I can plug in, toss under the seat with a data log running and go for a ride then do final tuning comfortably in a parking lot...
I mean its a Corvette so space is at a premium lol. The problem with the big laptops was they always wore the leather on the seat. Not an issue with throwing it under the seat for a datalog. I also prefer W10 as they took the apple approach with 11... features dumbed down so someone isn't overwhelmed by making one or two clicks and seeing an array of options of things... but to do anything useful its now buried 2-3 clicks deep instead of one....I use laptops for tuning cars regularly, I convert vehicles to run on LPG. I prefer a big laptop so I can see the screen when it's on the front passenger seat but taking laptops in/out of vehicles I wear them out quickly, usually the hinges fail after around 2 years heavy use. My last few laptops have all been the same make/model, I like the battery life, screen and fact that if one fails I can remove it's hard drive and stick into another (same make/model) and it will work just the same as the laptop I removed the hard drive from. The first of these same make/model laptops came with W10 installed, the rest came with W11. I much prefer W10 to W11 so I just remove the hard drive that has W10 installed from the broken laptop and fit it into the replacement laptop, this saves me the hassle of reinstalling the hundreds of different software programs I use too.
I haven’t seen a lPG car in many years. I guess it’s still a thing. My buddy’s dad would buy the car trucks and vans from Florida power light back in the 80’s at auction dirt cheap. He had so many we tore down an engine once just for kicks to see what it looked like compared to gas. The thing looked nearly brand new inside. Very clean burning fuel for sure. Back then it was pretty easy to find a place to fill up but it was getting and harder as the years went by.I use laptops for tuning cars regularly, I convert vehicles to run on LPG. You should stop using it when the last update crosses due to security risk.Unless you can get extended service support, which Microsoft actually does do for corporations, but the updates are generally not available freely. I’m not sure if M$ is doing it for Win XP still but I know they were as a lot of equipment was dependent on the NT platformDo you really need to upgrade windows 10 by a certain date ?
We ran windows 7 for several years after it expired before upgrading.
