I think a woman's body stops regulating its temp after menapause. Our A/C keeps our home at 71/72 degrees no matter how hot it gets outside. Yes we have been mid to upper 90's the past few days. At one point she was freezing and wrapped up in a blanket....a few hours later she was sitting in front if a fan with sweat running down her face ! She has been back and forth like this for the past few weeks, all this time the thermostat stays untouched at 71/72 degrees......I can't win......

Few weeks ........ We are knocking on 10 years of it .

It was 102F when I left the office yesterday. Rather pleasant 86F and breezy (storms all trying to form) when I mowed the yard last night.

A cold front backed in off the ocean over night. Woke up to 63F this morning. Forecasted high of 70F today. Back to the upper 80’s the rest of the week.

Off next week........will put in a couple of 8 hours days working on my tan while mowing the fields.

Learned back in my iron worker days not to go in and out of the air conditioner. Not going to get acclimated to the heat.

Last night when we went to bed, my wife once again said it was hot. I replied that she adjust her meds so that she's no longer hot or that it makes her shut up! LMAO!

I can handle hot, less so as I get older but 85 plus humidity, no wind and bright sun. When I worked in AZ for a few years I was good until about 115. Dry heat and all. Humidity is a deal killer

Careful with that. As we get older we are more susceptible for skin cancer caused by that big round ball in the sky.

Its not just that we are becoming more susceptable , the sun has got hotter....or whatev.
As kids at Wanaka in summer the sun shone till 9pm ,30⁰c , no clouds and we were out in it all day , no sunscreen , maybe a hat , brown as berries .
Now if I have to spend more than an hour I can feel my skin burning , and I have to slather on sunscreen or cover it up .
Tell ya what , them Arabs aint stupid ,Due to a "baggage mishap " (my bag was still on the porch when we got home ) I arrived at our camp site with no clothes other than the jeans I was wearing ........spent 5 days wrapped in a sheet and once Id sussed the origami (no accidental exposures here ) it was quite practical ......not that beating the crap out of ones liver requires heavy duty attire

Between surf fishing, boating, farm work and the back yard pool, I spend a far more time outdoors than most.

Fortunately, I have a bit of “genetic resistance” built into my DNA

As a radiation worker, I’m far more concerned with the gamma, beta and alpha radiation I’ve worked with and around my entire career. Have lost three colleagues over the years to lymphoma.

At age 75, going thru some " pre cancer" treatments on my head and face.
Not much hair left on top never been a sun worshipper and most always wore a cap. Had sun poisoning twice in my younger days which made me even less of a sun fan. Protect your skin now while your younger, or pay the piper when you get older ! You can't be to carefull today as the atmosphere is getting worse when it comes to screening out the suns damaging rays.

Sorry to hear that, mine has not been that bad yet. So far just freezing the surface and peeling off the top layer. Best wishes for your father !!
