Is this the idle jet? Or?

The VRO pump will over oil if air is getting into the gasoline supply. You will see all kinds of smoke behind the boat. Check/replace the seals on the main fuel strainer, under the airbox, as well as any other places air could get into the gasoline line..

Your VRO pump is likely just fine.
Thanks Chris, the main fuel strainer as in the white onboard fuel filter? I bought a new one of those during my troubleshooting process so I think it should be good as far as not leaking air..new clamp too.

Yes, The OEM fuel strainer came with an oring and washer-style rubber seal. It was hard to get them to seal air from entering. I bought a replacement, and it just had one seal and it seems to work.

When air was leaking into the gasoline line, you should have seen the trail of smoke I made, behind the boat at cruise. Like a B-52 taking off, but blue smoke.

I was definitely getting more smoke, mainly at idle and slow trolling speeds…when I replaced the fuel filter it continued to do so though..so that’s when I bypassed the oil line to the VRO and started premixing and things really improved for me…and I had gotten a new fuel bulb, fuel lines, new carb gaskets etc so not sure where I might have been getting air or if I’m still getting air in a gas line somewhere but she’s running good so I’m scared to touch anything at the moment haha!
