1997 Honda BF40A trim fluid check?

HeLP!!! Does anyone know how to check fluid level on this trim actuator? Motor runs but it does not go up/down. I suspect low fluid but cannot find a manual or YouTube on how to check it!

have you checked with Honda on the manual? https://marine.honda.com/support/manuals

also, since the unit is nearly 30 years old, the seals may have failed.

It was working perfectly 2 minutes before it stopped going down.

0 signs of oil leaks... externally anyway.

First just want to know if the bolt is indeed the fill/level check.

The circled bolt should be the fill level check.
