Help with Evinrude ground cable

Good afternoon.
I just replaced the water tube and im putting the motor back together. However there is a ground cable that connects to the plate above the rubber mount, when taking it apart that cable was ripped and never saw where the other ends connects. I need some help identifying where it the other end goes.

Pretty sure it's just going from the block to the lower cowlings. Doesn't matter where and I believe you should have another one at another location.

Update. After scouring the internet and looking at various service manuals I figured it out. This is just a grounding cable to prevent corrosion. Goes from that plate to the lower engine cover. Thanks for your help.
