I guess it will always be something and it usually goes back to poor judgment from the operator.
The big problem in the area I grew up was prop scars on the flats. They were most often cause by the rental boat fleets and people not knowing what they were doing. There was a boat rental place in my fishing grounds that was a great source of entertainment for us. When they came into the ICW you had to go left or right or you would end up on the flats. We used to bet on which boats were going to come to a halt real quick. All the info they needed was clearly explained and also in the info guide they received before they left the dock they just didn’t bother to pay attention to anyone or there surroundings.

Wake boats are lake lice...no reasonable person likes them. Adding to the problem is 99.7% of the owners are just douche bags, who feel they somehow are ENTITLED to make dock destroying, fishing boat upsetting, shore eroding passes, because they dropped $300K or more and by God are going to use it!

Last summer I watched some guys beat the living dog chit out of two people operating a wake boat with full ballast, driving in 'X' patterns across a narrow part of the lake where these guys were trying to waterski (there's a slalom course bouyed there). The mistake the wake boat made was they were drunk enough to think it was wise to stop and argue with the skiers, lol! It really was a beautiful thing, with several people sounding their horns and clapping as the wake boat slunk off.

Work for a Company that has a Pension Plan, Managers get Golden Pensions, far bigger, for doing Eff All, than the Peons you mentioned. BTW Workers are not Freeloaders, Management and Business Owners are the Parasites

Excuse me? My family owns a manufacturing company we have 40 employees and it is our capital as risk, how much skin in the game do employees have? I have never asked an employe to do something that I have not done. Think it is easy to be an owner, it is real glamorous leaving home on a Sunday morning to drive to the airport to catch a flight and then get home late Friday night. I do not have employees bring work home, I spend a minimum of 1.5 hours working when I get home. Yeah tell me what a parasite I am.

Maybe you are a Decent Employer, but I have seen far many more Horrible Employers than Good Ones, and I have taken more than One down, in my duties as a Labour Rep. That job also had me away from home a lot and working Late. A lot of Family Companies are Very Top Heavy with "Family" getting Excessive Compensation, Company Cars, fancy Offices, for doing nothing than consuming O2, whist the Staff that actually work get Crumbs, but are always being told that they are the Problem
As for "Skin in the Game" 3 or 4% return would be a Fair Profit
