None of my local dealers carry the 3/8 water hose I need for my water lines on my cabin cruiser. However they have 3/8 fuel hose, would I have any issues using that in place of the water hose?

I have one connection that's left to the transom shower that I need it for.

Why not 3/8 Pex tubing?
Could even go to local Lowes or HD and find tubing of all kinds

Just out of curiosity. Is this a drinking water carrying hose?
If so, the fuel hose is iffy to say the least.
The chemicals used in fuel hose production may spoil the taste of the water.

Nope, just for the rear transom shower. One oft the connections going from the block to the transom shower hose fitting.

Well, it's not those lines that I need redone. Those I already checked out and they're solid. It's a rubber water hose that goes from the block to the transom shower hose fitting.
