Does anyone have recommendations how to make or purchase a motor harness I can use with my rear davits to lift the motor on and off the transom while in the yard? Being a small, but mighty girl, it's still a two person job. I would like to take the weight, literally, off my neighbors. :) Thanks for any help.

West Marine will likely have something on the shelf.----Find a marine accessories catalogue or give them a call.

Could make one out of a length of rope

Wrap rope around under the cowling and tie off. Next run rope up one side to the other and tie off on other side

Thank you. Wondered if I could make it myself. Balancing the motor correctly appears important.

A 9.8 motor isn't that heavy (under 100 lb) so balance point not that critical

Is there any place to put a lifting eye on your power head?

Need a lot more description of your cruiser and Davits that raise and lower a stern mounted tender / lifeboat / inflatable.
What do you do with the motor after lifting up ? Set it down on what ? Then remove engine cover ?
