We use patchaid in our gel. Sprayed all at once, no wait time between coats. Scott uses Duratec, I never have. What does FGCI have?
Not sure. Someone said duratec. All I saw was their brand.
Went ahead and ordered the gelcoat tho. The shipping was astronomical on the mekp and wax. I can get that in person elsewhere.
With Saturday being car shopping day with our son, and Sunday is replace ball joints and tie rod ends on the wife's car. Next week and weekend I'll get my motor off and everything off the boat. Hopefully get the boat up in the gantry.
advice is much appreciated. I'll be back with some pics.

20 years ago I would tilt the motor up and idle 1/2 mile into the base of a small natural 6' high waterfall area. Unreal area. With every type & size of fish. Hard to not do what makes us happy. :)

Now that the pictures are working again, here's what I took of the Hamby I did.

First, I dry fitted it and marked the edge with a grease pencil.

Then I lifted it up to sand. It could've been done on the trailer, but I was fixing other spots anyway. 40 grit with the DA close to the mark, and finish by hand. Don't try to use an orbital right up to the edge, you'll end up with scratches past the keel guard. Also remember that the pencil mark will be past the edge, so stay inside the line.

Finally, install with the epoxy and let sit for 24hrs. This one kinda sucked, but luckily the supervisor helped me out.

Some things to note. Hamby is a brand, and uses a two part epoxy to attach. We use West Systems Six Ten epoxy. You have to be quick with the install with that stuff. Keel Guard, another brand, is a cheaper peel and stick. I haven't actually done one of those yet. Break time's over, but there's more details I haven't got to yet.
