OK so got the kits in. All basic o rings save one brass part, hoping that is not normally a wear part.

I thinking I can just order orings to match for the future but not sure how to size them? Micrometer? What dimensions am I looking for?
If you want to get o rings for the future I would recommend going to a hydraulic shop and getting a good quality set and most importantly oil resistant. Take your old ones or your spare set just incase they need to match them. My local Napa auto parts does hydraulic lines I’m not sure if thats a thing at all of them.

Thanks, had not thought of that. Lots of farms around here, should be able to find someone to handle it.

The trim switch will only operate if the trim limit switch is closed. The trailer switch should operate at all times.

The trim limit switch is located on the starboard trim cylinder and bracket. They often break at this time of it's age. I do not know of a replacement, however, as long as the trailer button works, there is a work-around.
Well it trimmed up for a second or two this week. There is a unit on the port side of the engine but it's never been hooked up so I guess it's in the helm switch.

While under the helm this morning finally reconnecting the tach I was moving wires around and decided to reach up and see what happened if I hit the up toggle. Saw a spark on a white wire that appears to jump from the trailer switch to the toggle switch. Reached up and it broke right off. Looking at it was a bad solder Jon and only had about three strands attached so trimmed off, spade connector and all good!

No someone did post that the trailer button has its own thingie back on the motor which there is but those two wires have not been connected since I owned it and the corresponding wire colors are at the harness so I'll look over manual someday. My guess is it went bad so they just cut wires. It goes up with the button and the switch for now so im good.
