Drunk crashes truck into marina sign and hits large tree on Saturday. Driver has minor injuries and was arrested, one passenger in critical condition, one other passenger died. Glad the zoo will be over today

Oh and got a call for a house fire from an E-Bike this morning on my way in too.

Agree. Glad the **** show is over and the trouble makers back in their cities. Bring on the best 3 months of boating.

I vote for the next 2 months, it gets pretty cold in northern Wisconsin come November.
I've had to push through ice in the salt to pull the waverunner before. Wisconsin would for sure move that date up a couple weeks.

Yeah all the death traps being towed to the lake I've seen last couple days reminds me why I haven't boated on a holiday weekend in 15 plus years.

Overloaded with people piling out at the gass station/booze store.

Regular summer weekends are bad enough.

It's been kinda quiet on the river, a few fishermen etc. I blame the temps. Water sports are not much fun in 60 degree weather.

I do remember years ago on like 88 or so my ex and I took out dogto PB 2 at lake ozark on a Sunday, July 4. 60s to 70s and drizzling all morning. Zero people there until about 2pm. We wanted to leave the anyways.

I haven’t been on a lake in my boat on a weekend since I retired. I have been on friends boats on a few occasions weekends, good reminder why I stay off the water weekends, let alone a holiday.

I was on the water today.
Spent most of it sitting on the bridge watching people at the launch ramp. Holidays are always entertaining.
i did venture out, but it was in a kayak- in water so shallow none of the crazy boaters could get me! šŸ˜‚

Yeah when family was in town I had to head out on a weekend, otherwise weekdays only for me. After this weekend it would be usually OK.

I had to go to the dock and top off a SeaStar unit Sunday morning otherwise I stayed far away from town and the lake all weekend. What they broke over the weekend will start showing up this afternoon or tomorrow so gotta go fishing while I can. I would have been out for 2-3 hours already if I wasn’t married.

Our normal lake down the road 10 minutes from home was unusually empty on Sunday. Like less than half of what I would have suspected, and was just as full as what I normally see on any other weekend.
Large lake about an hour away, just west of this state's capital city which usually has traffic lined up out onto major highways and sheriff's deputies directing traffic on most of it's 10 or so recreational areas was reportedly virtually abandoned Saturday at less than 10% of what it has been in the past years on Labor day. Don't know what's up with this. Weather was pristine.
One can only hope that this will be an ongoing trend in the area.
