Need help with 1972 2 HP Evinrude water pump

Hello,

I have this 2 HP motor (model 2202M).
I had the same one before, but this one has original metal water pump housing with 382221 impeller replaced by plastic housing with this impeller - 763735.
When I opened it, I had strange feeling that it was assembled "upside down". See pics I have (1, 2 and 3).
I was not able to find any diagrams for this water pump myself. I tried using AI chats and it gets lost in different stuff, but nothing on how to assemble this one. Also, it does not mention plastic insert (pic 4).

Is this a correct order to assemble it?

Another question is: If you look at the parts that come with this kit (pic 5) , there is small O-ring that was missing in this motor. Where does it go exactly?

The parts that are shown are an updated kit for the early 2 hp models.----A definite improvement !----Wee o-ring is for top of the driveshaft.

This link shows old kit with metal cover and no inserts, so it does not help. I need to figure if Metal insert cup actually goes upside down how it was on my pictures and "floor plate" goes on the top. Also, if plastic insert ring goes on the bottom into gear case pit.
AI tells me it must be the opposite, but it does not fit well when it is the opposite and I can not find any picture for this kit installation.
