Bought my first boat to cut, gut and rebuild from bow to stern, including engine. Killed my back and suffered the wrath of the fiberglass demons

Today is a good day for a hangin'! LOL! Congratulations and enjoy your day ... and hopefully you will not be looking on this, or any other, site today ... enjoy your day and bride!
LOL! Nope. We were both offline that day. It was a nice day! So funny story.....The day I got married, while I was waiting to get my haircut beforehand, I received a notification that an off market duplex that my spose and I had previously fallen in love with, was back on the market! Long story short, we were looking at it 2 days later, placed an offer on it immediately, and 2 days after that, we received an accepted offer! We close June 6th!!!!!

Best thing about it.....I will have a 3 stall garage (one stall will be for the upper unit) to be able to finally get back to working on the boat with!!! Once we are settled in and updates have been made to the other unit, you bet your ass I will be back in the saddle with this boat!

Still here gentlemen....Very disappointed that the boat has continued to sit untouched, but life has been so very busy! The utility trailer was finished and worked wonders to completely move us into out new home! That bad boy has become so useful ever since I finished it! It moved us, it got me my new riding mower, moved a friend and most recently, hauled all of out camping gear last month when we drove out of state to go camping! I love it! I have decided to rent it out when I am not using it.....Not sure how to advertise it though. We are completely moved in and are currently working on renovations for the upper unit. We have a tenant moving in next month, so getting repairs done up there is a priority. The boat is finally home and tucked away in my garage. I must confess that I have a lot of **** in my garage, and the boat takes up so so much of much needed space to have a nice space to work in...not to mention the working space for the boat is also very tight.......but the move is over and the boat is home, waiting so very patiently for me to on day take up the reigns once more. I might have to explore purchasing another portable garage tent eventually and placing the boat in there once more just so I can have my little man cave garage space. Now if only I could clone myself a couple times over so I would have the man power to tackle the upper unit quicker. LOL

Think twice (or 3 times) about renting out a trailer. Bad things happen to good people.

Hopefully you will get back to the boat work soon?

Remember it’s America anybody can sue anybody. I wouldn’t rent it. You own it, if someone gets hurt or hurts someone else they come after you. That’s why people with assets have umbrella insurance policies!

So now you've learned what most people learn about project boats...they rarely get completed.

You may still get it done but you would be one of the few. Life and other priorities get in the way. Retired folks or dedicated boat remodelers are typically the ones to claim victory over a project boat. Most others eventually sell it for peanuts or junk it after their spouse or life finally convinces them that there just isn't enough time/space/resources to get it done.

I wish you the best of luck.
