I have what looks to be Either a 1989 or a 1990 Evinrude XP 150. I purchased it in 2008 as a back up motor, it came from P.A. Was not title as they didn't need one there. The motor has a Serial number but No Model number, nothing on top of the motor but serial number also. Is there anywhere on the internet that I can cross match the serial number to find the Model number?
Or is there another way to identify the year and Model number from looks or mechanical parts visible? Any help and direction is much appreciated.

Do you need it to buy parts or do you need it to be legal in your state?

If your confident that it's a 89 or 90 then you should be okay for parts.

Others might know more.
