Starting a 1974 Tri-Hull Restoration, it's a Stryker Mark IV model. Need help with any information or an owners manual.

Well, in this week I'll be starting the registration process, trailer titled the outboard test and by the end of the month I'll have its first official test on the water for a full 6-8 hrs if all goes well. I do have plans to add a bench seat, top, and extra rod holders but those I can wait on for now, I'm itching to test the outboard and get on the water.

It's registered and insured, and I'm licensed so after this weekend I'll have the batteries to test the outboard then I'll get some fall fishing in before setting it in the hangar for the winter.

So, I got all the batteries and such, but now I've run into the problem where it cranks, but doesn't spark so I'm not really sure where the problem lies exactly

I hope you replaced all the rotten wood in the skeleton of the boat. You will find there is an exclusion in your insurance coverage for rotten wood frame. They call it negligence. Those 3 cylinder 70 up motors were great, I had a couple over the years. First thing to do is a compression test...any cylinder under 120# will need a rebuild. No sense investing big bucks into a worn out motor.

The motor is a 70hp Evinrude Hustler model 70443M, I've done a compression test and my grandfather said the numbers looked good and in range for normalcy, I just tested the resistance in the Ignition coils and have found coil 1 is bad in its 2nd Winding, so I have a new one coming in this week, plus I also noticed some of my wires to and from my Rectifier were completely corroded, so I bought a new one of that to replace as well, then I'll try again. I'm extremely close to being done with this project and while I know I could've definitely done better with the knowledge I have now, but damn if it ain't bad for a beginner.

Hire a Marine Mechanic. You have no hope without one.
Honestly I thought I needed one, and unless I've gotta go messing with the flywheel and stator, then I'm golden, but it's on the edge, she just needs that last piece to get back with it

I may seem idiotic but I'm still learning a lot of the parts and language, what's the OSB?
What you used for decking at the front isn't plywood, it's Oriented Strand Board.

When they're milling logs down smooth to then make plywood or boards, they take all of the irregular chips, orient them to face the same direction (probably crossing the grain between layers like ply, but I'm not sure), and glue it all together.

Each layer has chips in diff directions but generally the same, then each layer is diff.

OSB, or Oriented Strand Board, is an engineered wood product made from layers of rectangular wood strands compressed with adhesives under heat and pressure. It is commonly used for structural applications like wall and roof sheathing, sub-flooring, and in furniture production. The strands are oriented in different directions in each layer, giving the final product consistent strength, durability, and fewer voids than traditional plywood.
