Yep my 2022 6hp Suzuki looks exactly the same deal .Typical of a plug used on " offshore " small motors.----Honda refers to it as a grommet.
Ahhh Im pretty sure they are the same motor ..... just different camera settings .It looks like there are 2 motors. The blue one looks like a pre 1972 Evinrude, the other one I do not recognize.
Most common name is a body plug if its on a car ( they have heaps of them ) but I dunno what the outboard peeps would call it . You should be able to get one from an auto parts shop for a couple of bucks .![]()
Or its a grommet that fits in an outboard driveshaft housingThanks alot I found the name in the parts list, it is called a outboard driveshaft housing grommet
Model and make still not known.Looks like a small Yamaha/Mariner motor.
Ooooh , if it was a modern Yamaha it might identify as a grommet
Yep...have to agree with ya....I was always taught that a grommet fit inside a hole to protect the sharp edges from chewing up any wires or hoses that passed thru that hole in the grommet. If no hole then it was called a cover.Or its a grommet that fits in an outboard driveshaft housing.
To me a grommet has a hole in it .... like for getting a wiring harness thru a bulkhead .
