I have a 2004 Sea Hunt Triton 186 with a 58 gallon gas tank, and I need to replace the fuel sending unit. I understand that I need to measure the height of the tank from the bottom of the tank to the opening of sending unit port. Does anyone have that measurement?

I've done all the work on my lower unit(insert joke here). I'm trying to bolt it back up. The water tube has hit it's mark, and the driveshaft has engaged the powerhead. Shift rod is in line as well. I can rotate the motor and see the prop shaft turn. I have about 3/8" to go before it bolts up...

Figured I'd give back for the help I've received. Here are some pics of what you need to disconnect before removing the powerhead on a 1976 Evinrude 25602 manual start 25HP outboard. The manual suggests you remove a lot more. If you just want to remove the powerhead to get to the shift linkage...
I have a 1976 25HP 25602 Evinrude outboard. I have removed the power head and the linkage to the shift rod. Should the assembly just pull out? Didn't want to force anything until I know for sure. The lever and shaft assembly are hard to move back and forth.
The shift lever is pretty hard to move back and forth, and I think I need to get the power head off to clean out the old grease and crud and re-lube the inner workings. Manual says I need to remove the flywheel/carb etc. The engine runs pretty well, and I don't want to mess around with that much...
