    Easier to just remove/swap the "return lines" from the pump and route it into a container. Keep reservoir topped off while putting the system through it's paces until you no longer have contaminated fluid

    I had the same issue a couple of years back. Had a new helm and cable in my shopping cart. Went out to double check my measurements before I pushed the button. Found the nut where the cable attached to the helm was maybe a quarter to half a turn loose. Problem solved
