    daily music fix

Somehow I seem to remember that group but I think they were called Shad Rap, Me Shak. and Ben Degp back then and were a pretty hot group.

    Vintage Spoon Identification

I am about 33 years your senior and recognize many of those designs. The one I don't see is the Johnson Silver Spoon that everybody would fish with the pork rind attached. I often think about some day fishing with some of them, If they were effective then are they still effective today. I...

    Vintage Spoon Identification

I still have the first lure I ever bought. A South Bend Bass-Orena in Perch finish. Cost me $1.10 back then (circa 1952), a little over 13 bucks in today's money. I can still go in the room I keep sporting goods and remember when I bought most of the stuff and think of the good times I had...

    Best rust loosening material

I can remember around 1944-46 helping my Dad straighten nails he recovered from packing crates. During WWII you just didn't go to the hardware store and buy nails. Didn't mind straightening nails as much as I missed having sugar for my morning cereal back then.

I spent the last 24 years driving at 29.25 miles per hour

My wife won't let me. She bought a new Nissan Sentra the year before and she says since her car is older it should be the first one replaced. It has less than 25,000 miles on it.

I spent the last 24 years driving at 29.25 miles per hour

I spent the last 24 years driving at 29.25 miles per hour. My 2002 GMC 2500 Diesel I bought new almost 24 years ago just turned over 200,000 miles. My engine hours were 6832.7 for an average of 29.271005... MPH.

    photographs......film vs digital.

My grandfather and father both had a bunch of glass plate negatives which I still have. My previous father in law served 30 years in the Army and was also a photography nut. I had boxes of negatives from his Crown Graphic of which most were lost during a hurricane. I had saved several before...

Wheel bearings - old Dodge motorhome

Just the day before this thread started I found a tool I made 40 or so years ago in the barn. It was for an axle nut but I don't remember on what. I do remember drilling a half inch hole and squaring it up with a triangular file on the piece I welded on one end of the pipe for a 1/2 inch...

Wheel bearings - old Dodge motorhome

3/4 or full floating only pertains to the drive axles. Front will be just like doing an older car except heavier. Remove dust cap. Either remove cotter pin or bend tab on locking washer (which I believe it will have), remove nut, and pull hub. Even if bearings all appear good I would still...

    Can You Wear This Shirt

Had an E6B, not quite as fancy as that one. Lent it to a young lady years ago for her to use in ground school. Haven't seen either one since. I still have the Sporty's electronic version.

Hope you are not afraid of heights!

Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in Wales I have read that people have crossed it on a paddleboard.

    No start good solenoid

That might very well be the culprit. Next time it acts up wiggle the shift lever back and forth while pushing the button and see if it kicks over.

    No start good solenoid

Is the black wire from the solenoid going to a good ground and are the terminals on it crimped tight, no corrosion, clean?

    Can You Wear This Shirt

All these trips down memory lane brought to my attention that I still have a drafting machine which was my fathers on a shelf in one of my shop buildings. Checked on E-Bay and there is a ton of them for sale. Don't think it is even worth listing. I don't remember the exact year but my first...
