My outboard is a 1960 Evinrude 10hp model 10022.
Ever since ive owned this motor for last several years i havent been able to hold the motor in a tilt lock position. There is a thumb type lock and release tab but unable to lock unit into position when tilted. Could there be a step ive been...
Then would a 50:1 mix be a much richer fuel mix over a 24:1?...could it explain why i've been getting a bit more blueish/ grey smoke using a 50:1 mix since ive ownd the motor and 1970 12ft. Valco for last twelve years...even when ive used a 50:1 mix with my outboard mux knobs more toward 3/4...
