I took the power head off this about a year ago to rebuild it and everything else was working ok.
I have now put the power head back on and I can not get the trim tilt to work.
I have taken the main motor cables off the Relays ( 2 of them, Relays that is) 1 blue and 1 green and then theres a...
I took the powerhead off about 1 yr ago, and at the time new the bolts where only just moving with out snapping.
Today I have been trying to get them out ,but I cant get them out. Some of them move ok but wont pull out but 2 are only moving very slightly (when i hit them with a big hammer)...

Ok,here are a couple of photos.Can someone please tell me if the black box is repairable as its slightly melted.
The wires going to this black box are also melted.
On my 80 AETO outboard whilst do repairs to the block the heat mates i had in place caught fire :eek:
These also melted the wire casing to the stator and some of it looks a bit black.I have read a few post
about repairs to the stator(rewired) but apart from the melting of wires would there be...
