I'm not finding anything. In the picture before the removal of the 2nd failure there is nothing even nearby.
The first failure looks like it split due to being bent and stressed, but I didnt see that. The second failure looks like the line was overpressured, but I concur with 100 psi being...
Called them, need to call back with serial they said they will check for service bulletins.
I'm thinking I should check the fuel pressure to be safe. This is the port on the bottom of the fuel rail, right? Anyone know what kind of fitting it is?
I went from an outboard to an IO and wouldnt go back. For the kids tubing and the look of the boat, the outboard just doesnt work. It is true however that they are generally better in every other way.
Part number is below. First one was OEM, second is a Mercury Marine part.
I don't know fuel pressure, but the lines are rated at 250+ and the boat ran perfect the whole time. I'm thinking to have enough pressure to cause multiple line failures would show up as performance issues.
I have a...
3.0 MPI, replaced fuel line from pump to rail due to rupture. New line failed after 15 hours of operation. Cannot find any reason this could be occurring.
Fuel line from pump to fuel rail failed and started dumping gas on the running engine (scary).
Ordered new line and looking for torque spec at the fuel pump connection. Also, is this a common problem? I'm worried if it happens again what that could entail.
Have a 16' runabout with a 60hp outboard. Always used a Transom Saver but found out today mine fell of or stolen. Tried to get a replacmeent unsuccessfully and have a trip 100 miles away tomorrow. Am I fine without it one time?
