i have a recirculating cooling system on this 4 banger. a new raw water impellar was installed which sends water to cool the exhaust. when i put ears on it, the water doesnt make it to the motor. when it sits in a deep bucket, the water makes it to the motor. any ideas?

hi i just bought this boat and I am unable to find the firing order of the distributor to make sure the wires are hooked up correct because it 'pops' on every third or fourth rotation and seems to be out of timing or something. does anyone know how I might find the firing order?
