I have a 1979 glasply with mercruiser and the trim pump went out.
I replaced the motor/pump, wired it all back the same as before now the down button works but not the up/out buttons.

got a 1979 merc 470 runs well...for 30mins or so then it starts to choke, gasp, cough then dies...sometimes with a backfire....Also after about 30 minutes running when I hit trim tabs it bogs the motor down but trim tabs work fine before the 30 minute mark....
Temp gauge never goes...
