    Mercruiser #18 Service Manual. I usually use Dielectric grease as well. When I removed this wire from the coil, it was glued in there pretty good. I've never seen that before. figure that was still factory installation. Thanks, Ken

    Thanks Mike for your response. The manual calls for "1/2 oz insulating compound". Not sure what that is.
