Can someone go over the assembly procedure for the whole pull start. 7.5 horse, 1979. Rope broke and I took it apart to replace the rope and the pawls/washers fell out and I want to make sure i put it back together correctly.

i just noticed that the flywheel on my 1970 johnson 60 inline 3 says that it 1969 V4. um...is this a problem? engine idles well but slowly loses power and then surges.

it will run fine for a short while and then it will slowly lose power. , then it will surge like it is wanting get going.IF i idle for a little bit it will run well for a short while and then slow down again. carbs are clean and i beleive just rebuilt...
1970 johnson 60 hp. took it out for the first time today, engine cranked over for a second and then it stopped and won't turn over(makes no noise at all). i have power to the engine because i can here the choke when i hit the switch. I am guessing it is the starter or solenoid. help me out...
prop won't spin but i can turn the head from side to side! it's a 40 LB minnkota edge bow mount foot control. I'm using 1 battery, could it possibly be a 24 V so i would need two batteries?

can i use a steering system from a searay (15 ft cable) on my outboard. it would be mounted on a 16 foot fishing boat. i beleive that it is a rack and pinion but im not sure.
hey i have 1970 evinrude 60 horse electric shift that will not shift. engine runs and it looks to be in great condition.
I was told by the former owner that it was an electrical problem in the lower unit? is this the shift solenoids or could this be in the control box?
