Took the carb off to rebuild and see the theres a spacer. Seems to be on backwards to me. Mercurser mag ski (260 hp) in a vdrive ski boat.

Trying to wire in this force 125 and do throttle and cables. Have a few questions.
first two photos are the engine wireing and the controls wirelead. Can I get a female plug so I can use the Male plug on controls. Seems to be a shame to cut it off and but connect everything.

This is my first time rigging a out board. I need to know what exact steering components I need so I can connect the duel cable steering on the boat?
Also any reinforcement of the transome. I'e seen 1/8 plate also seen 4in×1/4 flat bar seeing if it's needed or common practice.
So no spark on 3&4 so going threw the trouble shooting from outboard ignition. I'm tested the stator and read around 740 ohms. I dont have a peak voltage adaptor just doing resistance checks right now. I tested the trigger resistance 1 2 3 had all 50 ohms and 4 had no continuity.

Just picked up this outboard for a song and going thew everything. The bendix was stuck up so after some lube and a few swear words got that operational. Next issue is slow crank. What I've done so far.
