Orig I thought this was a 85, but its an 84 per the model #. I have to reseat the copper tubing for the water pump into the bottom of the powerhead. Fell out while checking the impeller. I want to also change the grommet which this is supposed to seal the tubing to the motor. Side note...

I want to check my impeller and was wondering if I can do so without needing new gaskets or seals due to removal process ruining these? Just want to check it out and see if its worn much.
Just got a used 1985 50hp force. I know nothing about outboards but can do almost anything to a car. So, giving this cheap motor a shot. The motor starts just fine. Idles fine. Put it into forward gear the prop spins, push the throttle down and it stays idleing. The boat slowly moves forward...
