    Yup... "good" After just a day with the transom mount off it's already pretty dry and a lot more solid. I know it's not the correct way, but I'm gonna patch it up with some resin and throw it back together. I don't plan on keeping it forever, just needs to last a summer before I offload it.

    Alright so it's been a bit since there was an update. Since the last post, I got the motor out of the good hull. Started to rebuild the gimble housing, and realized I'm better off just swapping the entire transom mount as the one that's on the 350 is so much cleaner, and I can't get the gimble...

    Yeah the 350 is carbed and going to stay that way. The EFI was the reason the 5.0 doesn’t run anymore.

    Ah yes, forgot to mention about the trim sensors. They will be replaced as the wires are worn through. Starter is brand new as I thought that was the issue before, turns out it was the solenoid. Seems like this may be as straight forward as I was hoping.

    Now that I'm looking into boats with bad motors/outdrives. I'm finding some that have a volvo penta drive. I have no problem replacing the entire outdrive assembly. But, will the holes line up in the transom? Or do I need to find a mercruiser to make sure everything fits right.
