Starboard Cabin Window Rebuild

This would be my first window rebuild ever. I think it came out pretty good. I replaced the glass, with plexiglass, so, a little bit of a downgrade, but I had to if I want the side windows to match the front cabin window that has to be rebuilt.

The old butyl tape comes right off with the heat gun. You can see the information for the glazing that I used in the pictures.

I'm just dry fitting them for now. I will do the permanent install after I have it painted.

Rebuilding the cuddy bench. They're not done, but you can see what it's going to be. I still have to revisit it and add a support structure. It looks like I'll also be able to add a significant amount of floatation foam too!

I decided pretty early on that this was going to be a fishing boat and that the cuddy was going to be a storage cuddy for fishing gear stowage and privacy to use the port-a-potty.

So, with that in mind I was trying to think of different ways to stow some of the things I will need for the operation of the boat and to fish and I came up with the recessed bucket idea. I got the buckets online from a farm store. They're very thick rubber and their intended purpose is to put feed in for horses. They sit down in the cavity, so they are locked in place. On one side I'll definitely have my anchor & anchor line and on the other, I'm thinking downrigger balls. I purposely chose these buckets because of the handles. The handles will make it easy to grab the anchor when I need it.

Anyway, it's still a work in progress. Still have to go back with some support and floatation foam.
