    Starboard for Transom

    I have a 18' Aluminum hull that needs a new transom and was wondering if starboard would be better than plywood? I figured by the time I got finished with marine grade plywood and all the glass and resin it wouldn't be that much more expensive than just using starboard.

    Just Picked up a 198? Starcraft

    Boat belonged to my Uncle. The transom is rotten but the engine appears to be in good shape. Gonna work on the engine first and if I get it running well then I'll decide if I want to replace the transom or fund a new hull to put the engine on.
