    rpm's

    omc lower unit

    pulled lower unit to change u joint bellows etc. now i can't get the drive back on. i 've pushed pulled, horsed it around etc. drive shaft splines were greased & are lined up. i can't get it to go that last 3" or so to put the nuts on the studs. 1987 3.0 cobra. help!!!

    lower unit seals

    i recently changed the gear oil in my 3.0 cobra. i overfilled it & didn't drain to proper level. i now have water in the gear oil. can i just add new gear oil to proper level after draining old or am i looking at a reseal job? i believe the oil is pushing past the seals cause i overfilled it.

    at idle speed engine running at approx. 200 deg. when i speed up engine cools down to 160. engine has new manifold & elbow, t- stat. this season. impeller was changed last season. boat is an 87 140 h.p.

    i use some 5200 on the swim platform where it screws into the transom. 2 weeks ago. the stuff hasen't set up & is like putty. anyone ever used this stuff? i wonder if i got a bad tube, as it is also soft. i heard it hardens up quick in the tube once u open it.

    i am replacing the manifold & riser on my 3.0 cobra. the problem is the new manifold didn't come with new studs where the elbow bolts on. how do i remove the old studs without destroying the threads? there are 4 studs for the elbow & 4 where the carb. bolts on. any advise? hope to get this done...
