1990 Force outboard lower drive issue question

I have twins on my boat initially I rebuild one motor and then noticed the second was full of water and rusted bearings so I replaced the front bearing and gear and the top bearing. I put it back and when I put it in gear at idle it would kill the engine. I took it apart and compared to the...

1990 Dual Force 120s one side showing 16.7v at speed with dual batteries

The only option to combine is under the warning yellow. I know it separates the house and start bats. It was wired per web site instructions. I know this has a system that enables and disables the relay based on the voltage. It also puts the 2 batteries in parallel under certain conditions. If...

1990 Dual Force 120s one side showing 16.7v at speed with dual batteries

Hey guys sorry for being MIA on this. So today I went ahead and changed the switches on both sides. I now have the BlueSea 7650 on/off with ACR. I pretty much rewired the area. I will show pics. I briefly started the motors afterwards and one shows 13.5 or 14 at idle that's the starboard while...

The spot it goes on is right by the starter on the port side. I will test the temp with a laser tester when I take it on water again hopefully this weekend.

1990 Dual Force 120s one side showing 16.7v at speed with dual batteries

I included some pictures on the previous page but it is mounted the same way as yours. Except it is with the epoxy towards the motor. The heat paste is a good idea I thought of that aswell. I am sure my main problem was with the batteries even though only starboard motor showed overcharging.

1990 Dual Force 120s one side showing 16.7v at speed with dual batteries

I got to look for some pc procesor fan heat sink maybe with the fan attached to cool it. Imagine? I think it needs 5v not 12 could be wrong

1990 Dual Force 120s one side showing 16.7v at speed with dual batteries

Can you give me a part number for reference and is it the 4 or 5 connectors? Also I assume that this won't handle the deep cycle batyeries either. The ones I looked at on eBay have one positive conector and one stator plus ground and ignition. How do you connect the 2 stator and tach. Tach can...

1990 Dual Force 120s one side showing 16.7v at speed with dual batteries

I have 2 of those but they are 5 or 6 wires. 15 to 20 amps. Funny that the port motor doesn't have this issue. As I said the boat came with a long black wire across the way from one battery set to the other. Have no clue if that is standard but I will remove it though I don't think having...

1990 Force 120hp question about 6 wire stator for 4cyl motor

So the 6 wire was meant as 1 through 6 plus the 2 yellows. So I was told that #5 and #6 are to not be used and 8t would work ona120hp 4 cyl. So if I use the 1-2 and 5-6 can it be done?

1990 Dual Force 120s one side showing 16.7v at speed with dual batteries

Ok so I am changing the stator I bought a 1 through 6 wire stator from a different Force and was told I can just use the 1 through 4 wires and disregard the 5 and 6. So the 3 and 4 wires are short, can I use 5 and 6 along with 1 and 2? Pictors of 6 wire plus yellows and 4 wires plus yellows and...

1990 Force 120hp question about 6 wire stator for 4cyl motor

Și I bought this stator that has 1 through 6 wires for the Force engine. I was told I can just use the 1through 4 wires and tape up 5 and 6. But my problem is 3 and 4 are short. Can Iuse1 and 2 and 5 and 6 instead of 3 and 4? I am including pictures of the 4 wire and the 6 wire stators.

1990 Dual Force 120s one side showing 16.7v at speed with dual batteries

So I pulled a wire straight from the battery to a fuse box and the Lowrance Pro and Live is connect D to the fuse box. It was wired like this before I got the boat. The long ground wire that connects port batteries to star board batteries was there. The port side doesn't have the overcharge...

1990 Dual Force 120s one side showing 16.7v at speed with dual batteries

Before I change the the rectifier again wanted to to ask for opinions. So I have dual batteries one deep cycle the other starting, have a 1,2 B switch, common ground between the 2 and another common across from the second set of batteries. I changed the rectifier twice with a original Force...

Milky fuel in carb intake force 85hp

Mine had exhaust leak issues and it still went to high RPMs I fixed the issues by replacing the gaskets , separation plate and I used a fine stone to turn the cover true. It was way warped. I did it by hand. It's aluminum and it goes fast, 1hr or so hahaha. The one you circled I think it is part...
