    Mariner lower end replacement

    I removed the lower end for water pump replacement on my 1995 Mariner 60 HP. No problems there and I think replacement should be OK. I just need to know do I use any type of locktite on the treads when replacing the bolts? It appears there might have been some on the bolts when I removed them.

    How often should the oil be changed? I check it every year and it looks like new. No water or milky colour. I have a bunch of bottles of Type C gear oil. Can I use that in a Mariner?
