    what is the part number and/or source for the tiny hoses coming off primer solenoid

    motor is 1986 evinrude 225....the tiny ID hoses that go from the primer solenoid to intake manifold...I cant find a part number or size of the hoses.. they are the same hoses (I think) from the recirc valves to each cylinder.

    Why is there a tapping sound when there is an arc of electricity?

    Not a real outboard question, but we have some knoweledgable folks here so I am asking. Is the arc creating a mini-lightening flash, and the arc is breaking the sound barrier, thus a mini-sonic boom? or is it the sound of the air around the spark turning into plasma, thus an explosion of sorts.

    What are the largest Idle Air Bleeds available for late 80's V6 carbs?

    My 1986 225hp Evinrude has 1987 carbs which call for #48s for idle air bleeds. I currently have #47s. I may need to go a little leaner, but going from 47 to 48 is not much of a difference...do they make a #50?

    what does the primer solenoid actually do? I hear it clicking when I push the key in and out, but not what is going on in there. is it a pump of sorts? does it pump with each push of the key? or does it pump as long as the key is pushed in? Why is it associated to "choking " your engine...

    1999 225hp EFI - overheats at 1000rpm, not at any other rpm
