Where did the EDIT option go in old posts?

I just edited an old post a few days ago and wanted to edit another one just now, but....no EDIT option or button or whatever you want to call it on the bottom any more?

    Re-purposing a Starcraft Bowlight!

Just wanted to share this idea with you Starcraft fans.... When I did my Permanent Vacation project, I put a new bow light on the boat and have been hanging onto the original. I wanted to use it somehow, and finally got a real cool (I think! :D) idea to make a night light out of the old one...

Frustrating: trying to link to a specific thread and editing post problem

When I try to insert a link to another thread as a reference in my post, it shows up OK in the preview, but when it's posted, the link only points back to the forum home. Then, if I try to edit to "remove link", when I click "save", I get an error message that wants me to insert a valid link...

Is this feature still available? I thought I saw something about it earlier but can't find it or anything about it now.

Bottom feeder reminder -- pool noodles!

This is the time of year to buy your flotation! I just scored several of the big, fat $5 pool noodles for 49 cents each, & they had the thinner ones for 29 cents. The stores are itching to get rid of them now. :D  :highly_amused: :whoo:

How to Edit Signature in new forum?

I've found that a link in my signature is dead. I can't seem to find how to edit my signature to fix it; a search only provides links to 2013 and earlier. I don't see any link to do it using either Pale Moon or IE browsers.

Replacing windshield on 1964 Starcraft Jet Star

I think the time for replacement is finally here, after struggling to see through my original 1964 windshield for another boating season. I've done a fair amount of research on different methods and how I think I'm going to do it but given the materials cost, I want to proceed carefully. This...

Newspaper article on Classic boat restoration

Here's an article for Woodonglass, but I'm sure many of you will enjoy it. Take note, there was a restored tinny at the event! We are making inroads!

2003 50 hp Johnson System Check warning horn works intermittently

When I turn my key the System Check (BRP #177107) runs through a self test where the lights all come on and then shut off one by one. The warning horn is supposed to make a short beep at the beginning of the test, but only works intermittently. Sometimes it does & sometimes it just makes two...

New Johnson fuel tank & line fitting question

I ordered a new Johnson OEM fuel tank and line. It's one of the newer plastic tanks that only has a 1/4" FIPS outlet fitting. I ordered the brass fitting that the fuel line attaches to, but I wondered before it came whethere there would be enough clearance to screw the fitting in....there was...

Adding a second hard drive - Is this possible?

I am fairly computer-challenged when it comes to hardware. I had this idea and wonder if I could do it. I have an old Dell Dimension E510 that I gave up on after sinking a couple hundred $$ into two failed repair attempts by a local repair shop. The computer kept randomly just shutting off with...

Getting CD unstuck from 04-06 GM/Malibu stereo

From what I've read, these GM stereos are notorious for swallowing CD's and not giving them back, a run of low quality stereos in those years. My '05 started acting up recently, but it has only been sporadic. The disc will not eject, and it just sits there clicking, then displays either "NO...

new annoying pop-up on several sites

Anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it? I get it on several websites and have no idea where I got it. Have run virus scans and Super-Anti Spyware. As with many pop-ups, it's annoying as he11. The corner of the page starts peeling back and will get large as shown if the mouse runs...

Moving gas tank up front, need longer fuel line

I was thinking of moving my 6 gal. metal fuel tank up front to better balance the load when I have rear seat passengers. Where can I buy 5/16" ID single fuel line (for Johnson) by the foot, preferably online? I figure I'll need about 14 or 15' and all I've been able to find is the pre-assembled...

changing a car battery - gadget

I needed a new battery for the car, and while I was looking around online, I came across this: Car Battery | Auto Batteries | Pep Boys I never thought much about it, but is there any reason you couldn't just hook up a standard 9v battery to your battery leads while you change it to serve the...

    Weird blank page topic

This is an odd one. This always happens with this thread http://forums.iboats.com/boat-topics-questions-not-engine-topics/textured-surfaces-affect-drag-637495.html, but no others. If I click on the topic to open in a new tab, a blank page opens, nothing visible. The same thing happens if I...

Generac 5000w generator with B&S engine

Mid-December, my generator wouldn't start (10 hp B&S engine). It's 14 years old and probably has less than 50 hours on it. I took it locally to a guy with 25 years small engine experience, and he ended up replacing the fuel filter and carburetor. Now it starts up pretty good, but really...
