    Bearing, Hubs, Breaks? Help!

Spent a little more time on a project trailer today. It is an 18' frame dual axle trailer. When I picked it up it was in pieces and scattered about the PO's side yard. I have assembled the frame and axles, found some 5.7 x 8" tires and put those on (same size as the two that came with it). Two...

    Temp Gauge is it bad?

My project came with and old Stewart Warner temp gauge. It reads 140 not hooked up. Markings are from 100 to 240. Trying to figure out if it is shot. My understanding is that this a 12v system and the temp sensor would limit the voltage from 0 to 12 volts depending on the temp. As it sits...

    Trailer tires, What the...

I used the tires from my small boat on a donor boat retrieval. One of the tires blew out during the trip home. Ordered 3 tires, 2 for the donor trailer, the other to replace the blow out. Today I was getting the donor trailer ready for resale and was flipping the tires around. I noticed...

    Braking while in reverse...

When on Ice or packed snow if I brake while in reverse the front end get pulled all over the place. No control unless the vehicle is put in neutral. Happens with both RWD vehicles I have. Is this telling me the rear brake adjusters might not be working or something else?

Someone shoot me before the frying pan swings.

 I've been seeing a CL ad for a week. Yes it was taunting me. Today I sent a text, and they actually responded. They then sent the address which was 4 miles from where I was working, and on the way home. I just had to stop just take to take a look. Looked her over real good. Most of...

    The iboats Buck Pole

Michigan's deer bow season opened up today. In honor of that I though it would be nice to have a place for iboater's to show off their horn's and stories (even if they don't have horns). Didn't make it out in the woods, but did spend a few hours with my son sighting in a compound and a...

    My inexpensive tow vehicle

Quite often here I see posts saying can I tow this or questioning weight capacity, someone that doesn't really want to get a proper vehicle for towing their boat. I didn't really have that issue, but my old tow vehicle is a 1992 Caprice wagon with 250K on it. It still did the job but was...
