    hi, boat is 1980 marlin with 898.. steering cable is stuck. should i try to free it up or just replace it? i was wondering is there a kit to rebuild the steering ram? it seems ok but would rebuild it if it were an option. is the power steering pump an auto pump or is it special? i did...

    using degreaser on bilge

    hi i was wondering my transom and bilge area are greasy and oily. can i spray them with gunk before i pull it apart to replace transom and stringers? jim

    questions for experts. im sure its somewhere in this forum but i am lazy.

    would someone explain how anodes work and how the system works to prevent corrosion. also i checked our site and i can not find any used engine info. i would love a 5.7 magnum complete 2000 up. i know i dont want much. i have a 898 now and it does look new. at least the heads. its spotless...

    OMG!!!! really you couldnt fix the deck right.....

    tore down my new to me 1980 marlin 19.5 bowrider. lmao replace 1 side with 2 x8 no glass at all, new floor tabbed with 1 layer walmart cloth. this boat had been worked on by tweeks for sure glad she was free jim the upholstery guy

    can you change a mercruiser carb engine to fuel injection

    hi, jim here its a 1980 vintage 898 alpha setup in a marlin. can i use efi off a truck or switch to another injection system. i know there are problems with marine uses of auto electronics. just past points and carbs in my lifle lol

    fwc conversion for chev 305

    hi i have a 1980 marlin i/o 19 ft bowrider and i want to put fwc on it during its winter resto. i know check the store here got that. any brands in particular. how about a nice used set up.....i know not likely, had to ask has a 305 mercruiser i think its a good idea...opinions jim
