    Cracked 12 gallon gas tank

    I have a removable plastic 12 gallon tank that is a bit old but still good. Has a 3" x 3" crack at top corner where i recently dropped it. Should i have the tank "plastic welded" for 20 bucks or is this really worth doing, how long does a repair like this usually hold?

    1996 Johnson 70hp j70TLEDA. Just purchased this engine, wouldnt stay running (was gunked full of oil in carbs) when i first bought it. Bypassed VRO and drained carb bowls and the engine fired right up and continue to run (now premixing). Water tested it and would not go WOT but ran fine at idle...
