    My gunwhales are 36 inch . I think the base should be 11 inches. This gives me a low profile bench. The back rest will be 20 inches tall from the bench. This should keep the passengers safe.

    The foam is called , windshield screw cover foam. Taylor # 1630 or 1631N possibly. You should be able to get it at a marine supply store.

    I will try some more chemicals. I tried sanding with an industrial orbital sander and 16grit. Some came off and some just smeared.

    Thanks Kcassells , I don't have a source for dry ice near me. I did try and sand it off with an industrial floor orbital sander. Some came off and some just melted and became a smear.

    Any suggestions on how to get the fresh glue off? I am thinking to remove my floor and re install a new floor instead of just laying a sheet of ply over the glue. I had a momentary laps of reasoning, LOL. I used Roberts 6700 for glue last year and it is still soft. Acetone does not remove the glue.
