My bad. I was too focused on how to remove flywheel nut with 1-5/16 socket at that time and it had to be thin wall socket…My apology and thank you again for reminding it.

Took me a few hours to take the crank case off because “pin” was kind of stuck… Anyway, the case is off now. Any socket that I borrowed from my colleague didn’t fit to remove this rod cap bolt. Would you let me know what socket I should buy? It seems thin wall 5/16 12 point, but would like to...

Never mind. I took it off. I think all the bolts to open up crankcase are loose now. Tomorrow, let me post some pictures of pistons, etc. Thank you !

Those bolts came off ! Thank you ! Another question, how about this thick bolt? #52 in the screenshot below. This has to be removed also?

Well, stupid question again. Should I remove intake manifold anyway to open up the crank case? If so, do I need to take out these two bolts ? They are pretty stubborn and I don’t want to mess with them if possible.

The flywheel just popped out ! Still long way to go, but thank you for the advice !

Maybe…Let me go harder on it. If I still can’t pop it off, I will try wilt Kroil. Thanks !

Flywheel’s still not popping out yet. As penetration oil, I have been applying WD-40, but it seems PB Blaster has more penetration potent. I am tempting to get one if I cannot pop the flywheel tomorrow.

I just sprayed penetrating oil. I will let it soak overnight tonight. I tried impact wrench earlier before putting penetrating oil and no luck. I hope the flywheel comes off tomorrow ! Thank you very much for your precious advice !!!

I see. I tried pulling off the flywheel just now, but it was not going to come off. I didn’t want to force it too much, so I stopped. Maybe should I tap the thick center bolt (I don’t know how to call it) on the puller?

Good to know ! What do you mean by wrong puller? I have a puller for 3 bolts. The bolts that came with the puller didn’t have the appropriate thread. I will head to a store to get grade 8 bolts (not grade 5 to be on the safe side).

I wish I had all the necessary tools like you guys at hand, but I am in the US as an expat only for a few years. So, please excuse me for some strange stuff (language, lack of tool, etc)

I only had a quick help from a person to hoist the powerhead. Before removing the powerhead, I didn’t have a proper socket to remove flywheel (the socket that I borrowed from my colleague was too small…) Any advice is really appreciated. Thank you.

I am very new to this and the socket I borrowed from my colleague was too small to remove flywheel. My colleague is having a family issue so I need to work on my own for a while. Luckily I found another guy who has a hoist, so I just went ahead and remove powerhead with flywheel on. That’s why...

Sorry. Yes. It’s intake…I completely messed up words.

Yes. The powerhead is already off from exhaust housing.

I was going to check reed valves as well… Excuse me for the poor explanation. Reed valves look fine to me from outside. I am not going to take it off… Tomorrow 1 5/16 socket will arrive and I am removing flywheel. Very slow but progressing… Thank you very much for all the advice!
