    Went back together much easier then taking it off :) I did have to cut a small square in whats called the driveshaft housing assembly ( on the parts page) to soak the driveshaft for the lower unit to drop .     Can't recall where i seen weights listed , but whats the weight difference of mid 1980's 50 to 60hp ? Boat is rated for 50 max , i thought it said max 80 :facepalm:

    The Damage , Usable or not ?

    Finally got the lower unit off , it was NOT pretty !!! After the foot was off i removed the water pump housing and the key was laying inside the housing .. the speedo connector broke off also but that piece was able to came out easy ... Anyways here some damage ..... ouch ...
