    i was wondering what the carb setting screw is suppost to be set at. i have it at 1.25 and runs and idles but at the max on throttle in nuetral if i turn back it wants to stall any sugg. thanks jeremy

    hi everyone, i have a 1969 mercury merc 40 4hp and the motor runs but doesnt pump any water. im trying to remove the lower unit. how do i remove it. does the power head need to come off. any help is helpful. thanks jeremy

    Qd-14 Water Flushing Plug

    hi everyone i noticed today that my 1953 qd14 has a water flushing screw on the right side of the mid section under the power head. is there a special flusher im supposed to use with that plug.

    Tach and dwell meter

    i bought a matco Tach and dwell meter this weekend that is for a 4,6,8, and two stroke. it came with the spark plug wire, red and black test leads, and battery tester. how do i hook up this tach to a 1956 johnson cd-13 or any old outboard to test them and set there rpms. thanks jeremy

    1956 johnson 5.5hp steering bracket removal

    i wondering how to remove the steering bracket on a 1956 CD-13 johnson 5.5hp. im stuck and cant figure it out. i took the nuts off the mounts. but wont come off. the steering bracket is broking at the tiller handle mount where the tiller mount up to i bought the replacement already. thanks Jeremy.

    1957 evinrude 5.5hp carb problem

    i have a 1957 evinrude 5.5hp with new coils points condensors and rebuilt carb 2 new spark plugs and wires and new impellor. i have excellent spark and compression. the problem is i getting gas in the carb bowl and the shut off needle is working but the engine isnt sucking the fuel from the carb...
