    Paint and primer ?

    When painting an intake manifold ( rust spots )on a 350 Mercruiser ( on motor ) after cleanning do I prime before painting ? If so what primer do I use ? I have the high temp engine paint Thanks !

    Mercruiser Riser

    I'm changing my exhaust manifolds and risers on a 1997 LX 5.7- 350 I,m going with the aluminum ones. The question; Should I put the zink pencils in the 1/4in. hole on the top of the riser or just put a plug in it ? Thanks.

    Manifolds

    I am changing the cast iron exhast manifolds and risers to aluminum,they came with s/s bolts for the risers but none for the exhaust manifolds. The question is do I use the same steel bolts over or do I buy new s/s ones ? Almost forgot its a 5.7L 350c.i. Mercruiser. Thanks !

    Mercruiser Risers

    I have a 1997 ProLine 23 WAC with a 5.7 XL Bravo II. Can anyone tell me what the 1/4" plugs on the back of the risers are for ? They are not hooked up to anything, are they for flushing ? Thanks !

    Mercruiser Timming

    1997 Mercruiser 5.7 Bravo II How can I check the timming when there is no fingers or marks on the timming gear cover ? The only mark is on the harmonic balancer. Can I do this myself ? Thanks.
