    Did compression check today. Readings were 75, 75, 71. Specs are 108-132 but it also says lowest reading should be within 15 psi of the highest reading. Could low compression be what's causing these issues?

    Shouldnt it sputter at least a little bit when it stalls because of fuel. When it stalled for me last night it just shut off. Thanks so much for your advice.

    Just last night, renters came in and said motor was running at extremely high idle. I found the fuel line going in to the vapor separator had a cut in it. Changed that and fixed the idle issue. Could that little hole be tied to the stalling and when it got bigger caused the idle issue? Hopefully.

    I changed low pressure fuel pump. I took it out and after a while of just idling around, it stalled. No sputter as in running out of fuel. More like the key was turned off. Primer bulb was still tight. I cranked it a couple times and it started right up.

    2 years ago I rebuilt the lower unit so all the seals were changed. Plus, the water flow now is the same as before the rebuild.

    Didn't check the air/fuel yet. Will have to wait till the weekend. Did not reset the TPS because the readings were within spec but I'll read into that. The temps are always good until it sits in idle. When in idle, not much water pees out and the temps will go up to as high as mid 180's. Thanks...

There never has been much water flowing through the tell tale at low RPMs. Water pump is also new. I did get a reading in the mid 170s at low RPMs but as soon as I reved it up a little...

    Bearing carrier leak

    2002 50hp TLDI. I had a little leak of gear oil coming out of the bearing carrier. Put in a new o-ring and now I see it is still sleeping out. Is there a simple fix to make a better seal around that o-ring? Thanks
