Hi everyone, Im in process of rebuilding my 112 spl outboard and everything is going smooth so far. Looks like I had a hot spot in cylinder 1 which broke piston up between ring and top. Fortanetly no severe damage to bore. Power head is in back of my truck right now going to machine shop...
Am I missing something here? Im trying to pull off powerhead and getting locked up on something. My brother and I were attempting to manually pull it off. Following OEM manual steps, all nuts and bolts are removed and when we pick up, we get a visual of the shaft ( about 1" total)...
In process of removing powerhead off 96 johns 112spl. pulled off both heads but #1cyl head bolt sheared off top leaving about 1/2" of stud sticking out.
Im thinking vice grips, but any other tricks? Been soaking it in wd40 and it looks like it'll still be frozen. Thought i'd ask, maybe...

I found one on ebay for $20 recvd, very good cond.
However, my problem is this head has no threaded holes for coils like my prev head. All screws match and chamber volumes look identical.
Can I use this head, or keep searching for...
