    Help with 88 70 HP Exhaust Cover Gasket

    I replaced exhaust cover gasket and it seems I'm getting water in the cylinders. My seloc manual doesnt show my type of cover so I need to know if this is reason I'm getting water in the cylinders and what is the proper way to install this gasket? Please help and thank you in advance.

    88 johnson 70 dies when in gear

    Im having trouble with this motor on the water in driveway its fine.Irebuilt carbs set floats level as reccomended changed all fuel lines new plugs.When i shift it into forward it sputters for 3 seconds then stalls in neutral it will start back up .HELP pulling my hair on this one

    how can I save submerged outboard?

    So....I was about to synchronize my carburettors and when I went down to the boat today (moored at my neighbors dock...fresh water) I found it 3/4 under water....outboard completely submerged. It's a 1988 Johnson 70....any hope? Help!! Thanks.
