    water pump impeller change 1955 5.5 johnson

    Gentlemen I have removed the four bolts holding the lower leg to the upper unit and the lower leg comes down about 2 inches. I can see the impeller yet I cannot figure out how to detach the shift rod. Externally I cannot see how to disconnect the shift lever . what am I missing? Does the shaft...
