    Engine decarbing for sterndrives

    probably a stupid question but...here goes I read the FAQ post about engine decarbing and it seemed to be in regard to outboard engines. Should this process be conducted for I/O sterndrives as well? thanks

    water in tank

    Hi, I bought a boat (1995 Striper 2150 5.0 VP SX) that has had very little use for 4 to 5 years. The gas had Stabl added but some of the fuel has probably been in there for a long time. And the tank was only about half full...and it was being stored in a very humid area (Bay Area- Berkeley)...

    Cobra SX trim

    Hi, 1995 Seaswirl with 5.0 Penta SX; When the drive is trimmed up for trailering it will gradually drop back down unless the trailering chalks are in place. Is this normal? (doesn't seem like it should do that) thanks

    Checking for H2O

    a couple of simple questions but I am unsure so better ask: (1980 898, was 305 now 350, 2bbl) 1) How do you check for water in the fuel/water filter...just empty it into a bowl and see if the phases separate? 2) How do you check for water in the cylinders? Spark plugs are not rusty.
