    1972 Johnson 65hp tilt

    the tilt will not lift the motor by itself. can see it is trying. If I help it will lift to the top, & hold it there. If I hit the toggle to lower it a bit, then it creeps down & I can't stop it.. It is full of oil. Is there a bypass inside the cylinder?? does it have O rings or seals in it...

    I just bought a boat with a 1987 Mercury 40hp on it.. Would I buy the 2cycle oil to mix with the gas or 4 cycle... I think it's 50 to 1, is this correct ...thanks in advance...

    what kind of motor, long or short shaft for my boat

    electric lift on 65 hp Johnson

    I just bought a boat with a 65hp Johnson with an electric lift on it. The lift doesn't work & the lady said it hasn't worked in the nine years she's had the boat.. so it may have to be serviced or replaced. She didn't know why it don't work, could only be as little as no power going to it...

    I picked up a 14 1/2' deep V, has a 65 hp Merc on it. The tag says recommended hp 55.. Am I OK to leave the 65 on it?? thanks in advance

    Right size motor

    Hello, I'm a newbie, & I hope I posted this in the right place, if not can someone direct me where to post this.. I just purchased a 14' deep V, with a 650 Mercury with tilt & trim. I looked at the plate after I got it home & it says "recommended HP is 55hp".. will my 65 hp be bad for this boat...
